Types of Services

Traditional funerals usually involve a viewing by friends and loved ones. Religious, fraternal or veteran services may be conducted before burial or cremation.

Private funerals are essentially the same as traditional funerals except that attendance is limited to members of the immediate family.

In a memorial service, the loved one is not viewed. A religious, fraternal or veteran service is conducted- either before of after burial or cremation without the deceased being present.

Direct disposition involves no viewing and no service. The deceased will be interred or cremated, unembalmed, in whatever manner chosen.
