SHARON E. POSTILLI
HORNELL-Sharon E. Postilli, 67 of 7555Airport Road, entered into rest Saturday morning (Feb. 27, 2010) at St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell.
Born in Hornell on Dec. 31, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Roderick and Margaret Ingalls Kurtz.
A resident of Hornell for most of her life, Sharon attended Hornell High School and was employed in the SPD Department of St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell for many years. Before her disability retirement, she was employed by Home Health Care in Hornell.
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister, Sharon loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting.
Her family includes her two children, Tammy Lynne (Chris) White of Fremont and Troy Freeman of Hornell; her three grandchildren, Shaun Boyle of Fremont, Debra (Brandon) Avery of Louisiana and Brandi Roe of Fremont; her great-granddaughter, Jasmine Avery of Louisiana; her sister, Sandy Stever of Hornell; her niece, Danielle Stever and her nephew, Charles Stever both of Hornell; her great-nephew, Christopher and her three great-nieces, Madison, Charlie and Desiree
Calling hours are from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday at the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell, where a funeral and committal service will be held following calling hours at 4 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Donald Maynard officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Canisteo.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in her memory to their favorite charity.
